These days, vegetable growers in the Dashoguz velayat are in the midst of the harvest season. Potato harvesting is nearing completion in the fields, while cucumbers and spring-planted carrots are being gathered at a rapid pace. Local farmers expect to harvest at least 2,000 tons of cucumbers.

Farmers in the Dashoguz velayat have begun harvesting potatoes
This year, potatoes were planted on 8,800 hectares in the Dashoguz velayat of Turkmenistan. Today, farmers in the «10 ýyl Abadanlyk» dayhan association in Boldumsaz etrap, where the crop is grown on 345 hectares, have already begun harvesting and intend to achieve a record harvest of «earth apple». The «G. Atamedow» dayhan association occupies a slightly smaller area under this crop; however, they intend to harvest at least 840 tons of potatoes.
