Students from Turkmenistan Achieve Success at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Moscow

Students from higher education institutions in Turkmenistan achieved great results at the International Mathematics Olympiad (RUDN MATH OLYMP-2025), organized by the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow from November 25 to 30.

The students of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldi Kakayev demonstrated outstanding performance in the prestigious competition. Kerimguly Bendov earned an honorable first place in the individual category and won a gold medal, while Islam Khaitmukhammedov took third place and received a bronze medal.

Students from other universities in Turkmenistan also showcased excellent mathematical knowledge and preparation in the subject. The national team also included students from the Turkmen State University named after Magtumguly, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the International University of Humanities and Development, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, and the Turkmen State Energy Institute.

The RUDN Olympiad was attended by students from universities in Austria, the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and other countries.

The International Mathematics Olympiad in Moscow annually attracts all those with a particular interest in mathematics, representing students from higher education institutions worldwide. The Olympiad is held to maintain students' enthusiasm for mathematics, encourage the development of mathematically gifted students, strengthen friendly relations between students and faculty members of participating universities, and expand the scope of international youth cooperation and interaction between universities in the fields of science and education.
