A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system was held under the chairmanship of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. One of the key issues on the agenda was the draft «Program for the socio-economic development and investments of Turkmenistan for 2026».
The draft document was presented by deputy-prime H. Geldimyradov. The program is based on current strategies through 2028 and is aligned with the State budget of the country. The main goal of the document is to maintain macroeconomic stability and sustainable GDP growth.
The main action priorities are identified as diversification of industries and full utilisation of industrial capacity, increasing competitiveness through import substitution and increasing exports, actively implementing digital systems, transitioning to a green economy and environmental protection, improving the quality of social services in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag and in all regions of the country, ensuring food security, and producing environmentally friendly products. The program clearly defines production plans for all industries and specific development indicators for all regions of Turkmenistan for the current year.
The head of state approved the submitted project and instructed the deputy-prime to carry out the relevant work.
