Registration for participants of the VI Open mathematics Olympiad is underway in Ashgabat

The International University for Humanities and development (IUHD) is recruiting participants for the VI Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2026).

The Olympiad will be held in the Turkmen capital in person from the 23rd to 28th of March. Registration for participants and their team leaders is open on the IUHD website until the 10th of March.

The University invites all interested students from Turkmenistan and abroad to participate in the Olympiad. The number of participants from each university is not limited. The official languages of the Olympiad − Turkmen and English.

The International mathematical competition includes individual and team competitions. Individual competitions are held in categories A and B. Category A is open to students majoring in «Mathematics» and «Computer Science», while category B is open to students majoring in «Engineering», «Technology», «Economics», and «Management».

Groups of students (no more than 4 people in each) will take part in team competitions, regardless of their specialty. A team may include undergraduate, specialist, or students of master representing one or more universities.

The Open mathematical Olympiad for university students, held annually by the IUHD, aims to assess the level of preparation of the students in the subject, identify the most capable and talented participants, stimulate interest of young people in studying the exact sciences and conducting research, develop a younger generation with a broad worldview, and strengthen friendly relations between students from different countries.

The primary mission of the Olympiad is to bring together students and faculty from universities around the world to create a supportive environment in which the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge serves as a catalyst for shared growth, development, and mutual understanding.
