Turkmen team racers will take part in an international rally "Silk Road-2012" Dakar Series which will be held for seven days on the territory of Russia
Since 2008 the organizers of the Dakar Series tested routes to Central Europe Rally (Hungary and Romania) and Pax Rally (Portugal). After the grand premiere of "Silk Road" in 2009 which took place on the territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and that followed in 2010 and 2011 races from St. Petersburg, Sochi and Moscow-Sochi the rally "Silk Road-2012" will link Moscow and Gelendzhik
The ceremonial start of the race will be given July 7 at the Red Square. The race consists of six stages with total length of more than 3,800 kilometers, will take place on the route Moscow - Ryazan - Volgograd - Elista - Maikop - Gelendzhik. Racers will finish on July 13.
