Opening the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Ukraine T. Atayev emphasized that the 35th anniversary of independence is not only a milestone but also an important stage in reflecting on the country's history, achievements, and strategic goals for its future development.
The Ambassador noted that celebrating the anniversary of independence in the context of the 2026 motto highlights the harmonious blend of historical traditions and modern aspirations of Turkmenistan, and the image of the winged Akhal-Teke horses serves as a vivid symbol of the country's confident progress toward new achievements, prosperity, and well-being.
As part of the event, a presentation of the book "Neutrality of Turkmenistan: A Bright Path to Peace and Trust" by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held.
In his speech, Ambassador Atayev emphasized that the book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is a profound political and philosophical work that systematically outlines the foundations of Turkmenistan's neutral foreign policy, its international recognition, and its practical implementation in the face of modern global challenges.
During the event, an Embassy diplomat delivered a thematic presentation to the participants, highlighting the book's key points, its importance for understanding Turkmenistan's current stage of development, and the role of youth in implementing the strategic objectives outlined by the President.
A video was shown to the participants about Turkmenistan's achievements in key areas, the country's consistent development, commitment to the principles of neutrality, sustainable development, a commitment to innovation, and the preservation and enhancement of its cultural heritage.
The cultural portion of the event featured performances of national melodies on the dutar, as well as a photo exhibition dedicated to the themes of independence, neutrality, and achievements of Turkmenistan.
