Students from the young Olympians training School of the capital approached Hero-Arkadag with a request to visit the Olympic village, which occupies a special place in the architectural landscape of white-marble Ashgabat, and to become familiar with its capabilities. Hero-Arkadag fulfilled request of the children, and now the young athletes, whose main principle is to make a worthy contribution to the future development of national sports, have visited the Olympic village.

This event was organised with the support of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Currently, thanks to the successful implementation of large-scale reforms initiated by Hero-Arkadag under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who is an active supporter of a healthy lifestyle, great success is being achieved in the field of national sports, as in all others. This is a clear result of the efforts made in our country to develop mass physical culture and high-performance sports.

As is well known, Olympic village of the capital became the center of the successful holding of the V Asian indoor and martial arts games in 2017. The students of the young Olympians training School expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunities created, noting that it was a great honour for them to tour the sports facilities of the campus.

Representatives of the younger generation, living in a fortunate era thanks to the efforts of Hero-Arkadag and destined to enhance the sporting prestige of the Fatherland, particularly noted that visiting a high-class sports centre and learning about its capabilities is perceived as the fulfilment of their cherished dreams. First, they visited the Olympic village museum, where R. Bazarov, vice-president of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, briefed the youth on the specifics of the Asian games in Ashgabat, which included competitions in 21 sports.

Particular attention was paid to the image of the Alabay– the main symbol of the Asian games, which were held with great success in our country. As noted, the image of the Alabay inspired Turkmen athletes to great victories during the Games. The importance of choosing the image of the Alabay as the mascot of the upcoming international football tournament was also emphasised.

Detailed information was provided on the sports at the V Asian indoor and martial arts games, such as chess, futsal, tennis, Thai boxing, sambo, kurash, jiu-jitsu, bowling, cycling, swimming, basketball, weightlifting and track and field, taekwondo, sport dance, kickboxing, belt wrestling, wrestling, billiards, equestrian sports (show jumping) and the Turkmen national wrestling - goresh.

The fact that Hero-Arkadag recently visited the Olympic village and inspected the football field where the crucial match involving the «Arkadag» team, currently competing successfully at the world level, will be held, as well as the realization of the dreams of young athletes and the familiarisation with the conditions created here for holding international tournaments and training in various sports, inspired the younger generation to great sporting victories and new achievements.

Emphasising that visiting this complex was a cherished dream, the young athletes proudly noted that it was a great honour for them to be at the site of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which are inscribed in gold letters in the history of our country.

The younger generation then learned about the preparations for the international football tournament in the Olympic village, where the «Arkadag» team was training for the upcoming 1/8 final match AFC-II champions league against «Al-Nassr» football team of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As is well known, «Arkadag» FC was founded on the initiative and thanks to the efforts of Hero-Arkadag.

At the Olympic stadium, which seats 45 thousand spectators and is recognised as the largest in the Asian region, young athletes watched training sessions by renowned football players who are making a significant contribution to enhancing prestige of Turkmenistan in the international sports arena. This made an unforgettable impression on the youth and evoked a feeling of great pride for the Motherland and its athletes.

Today, Turkmenistan is a centre for major international competitions and world championships in various sports. This significantly strengthens the status of our Fatherland as a country of health and inspiration, and also ensures the increase in the sporting prestige of the independent, permanently neutral Turkmen state in the world.

As is well known, the Olympic village, where the 2017 Asian games took place, was built on the initiative of Hero-Arkadag. The fact that young athletes, boldly entering the world of sport, found themselves at the site of historic events marking the opening of the largest continental competition – the lighting of the Olympic flame and the ringing of the Games bell – inspired them to achieve high athletic results. And watching the training of the «Arkadag» football club became an unforgettable event for them.

Here, members of the «Arkadag» football club spoke with students from the young Olympians training School. The players of the team, whose glorious achievements have made history in Turkmen sports, presented the boys with commemorative gifts on behalf of Hero-Arkadag on the occasion of this significant event. The young athletes said they were honoured to receive gifts from the renowned masters and gratefully accepted the footballs and sweets. This event became an unforgettable moment in the lives of the young generation of Turkmen football players.

It should be noted that the large-scale initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan in the field of domestic sports are yielding great success, and measures are being taken at the state level to develop Olympic sports, including football. This work is yielding positive results, as evidenced by the achievements of Turkmen athletes in international and Olympic competitions.

It should be noted that the Olympic village facilities and the Olympic stadium football field fully comply with international standards, which is of great importance for the high-level conduct of international competitions in general and the upcoming match in particular, as well as for the proper organisation of training in preparation for them.

In our country, issues related to the maintenance of all sports facilities, including those in the Olympic village, in accordance with established requirements are constantly at the centre of attention of the state. All this creates ample opportunities for taking Turkmen sports to a new level.

In this context, it should be noted that when preparing projects for social facilities being built in Turkmenistan, the availability of sports grounds and stadiums was identified as an important requirement. Multifunctional sports complexes and training centres are considered a key factor in strengthening healthy lifestyle principles in society.

The unique architecture of stadiums and modern sports complexes forms a harmonious whole with the accompanying urban structures. All of this is clear evidence that, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the urban development program of the country is being implemented in accordance with the realities of the modern epoch.

The young athletes once again expressed their deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for making their dream come true – visiting the Olympic village, which has no equal in the region and has become the national pride of our people. The guys assured that, taking advantage of the conditions created for the comprehensive development of domestic sports, they will make every effort to increase the sporting prestige of the Motherland.
