Poster of cultural events: Week of Turkmen cinema, exhibitions and theater performances

From February 16 to 22, in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, the Oguzhan “Türkmenfilm” Association will hold a festive week of events. The program will bring together thematic conferences, concerts, and screenings of films produced during the years of the country’s independence. The main celebrations will take place at the capital’s leading cultural venues — the “Ashgabat” Cinema, the “Turkmenistan” and “Watan” Cinema and Concert Centers, as well as the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

The gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan is hosting the exhibition “The Swift Horses of Our Motherland.” The display features works dedicated to the Ahal-Teke horses. The themes of the artworks echo the motto of the year, “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” and the international triumphs of the “Galkynyş” equestrian group.

On February 16 at 15:00, an exhibition dedicated to the Day of the Diplomatic Worker of Turkmenistan will open at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

The capital’s leading theaters will delight audiences with productions of various genres. This week’s repertoire includes both classical dramatic works and contemporary comedies reflecting the country’s rich cultural traditions.
