Social policy remains an absolute priority of the state policy. During an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the 13th of February, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented the parameters of the Investment program for 2026, which will become a record number of commissioned social facilities.
According to the approved plan, more than 900 thousand square metres of housing will be commissioned across the country this year. Special attention is paid to the educational infrastructure.The new educational institutions will accommodate 3380 students, and pre-school facilities will be built for 1080 places.
The capital of Turkmenistan will continue its transformation. This year, Ashgabat plans to complete the construction of 30 residential buildings in the Parahat-7 massif along with shopping malls and household facilities, 46 modern residential buildings in the Buzmeyin etrap, as well as 127 two-storey cottages and a multidisciplinary cultural centre with 4 thousand seats.
Healthcare will also receive a powerful boost due to the opening of several high-tech facilities in the capital at once. Thus, the International centre of pediatrics, the International scientific and clinical centre of oncology and the Dental centre will be put into operation in Ashgabat.
Furthermore, the renowned health resort of the country, the «Archman» sanatorium, will expand its capacity with the opening of a new 400-bed building, allowing even more citizens to improve their health in comfortable conditions.
