The Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady, with the support of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, will hold three international events in April: an Olympiad and two conferences.

V International internet-Olympiad in English (IIOE-2026) will be held on the 10th to 11th of April among students majoring in language and non-linguistic specialties at higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad.

The recruitment of participants for the Olympiad is currently complete. On the 1st to 2nd of April, registered students will take part in the preliminary selection round. Based on its results, the list of participants in the upcoming Olympiad will be determined.

Participants will be asked to complete 10 tasks related to reading, listening, and English grammar in 90 minutes. The winners of the Olympiad will be announced on the 17th of April on the website of the institute.

The goal of the Olympiad is to identify young talent, increase interest in learning foreign languages among young people, and expand international cooperation to promote foreign languages in universities.

On the 16th of April, the Institute will hold the International scientific and practical online conference «Scientific research of youth».

The forum is held in English with the participation of students and young scientists from higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign partner universities of the Institute.

The conference will create broad opportunities for the development of international youth cooperation and the exchange of scientific initiatives, ideas, and experiences among young linguists.

On the 23rd of April, a Turkmen university will host the International scientific and practical online conference «Global and national experience in teaching foreign languages: scientific research and new approaches».

The conference is expected to be attended by Turkmen and foreign teachers from higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, secondary school teachers, research institute employees, doctoral students, postgraduate students, industry experts, linguists, methodologists, and IT-specialists.

The conference will allow participants to discuss current trends and issues, methods, and innovative technologies in teaching foreign languages, as well as present research results and exchange experiences in this field.

The upcoming international forums will be important events in the fields of linguistics and pedagogy, bringing together relevant specialists to further promote, effectively study, and improve the teaching of foreign languages, as well as to develop broad scientific dialogue, establish new contacts, and strengthen international educational cooperation.
