The Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has announced the results of the student hackathon “Etut.developer.”

The event was held at the university’s Scientific and Technological Center “Oguzhan” with the participation of 15 higher educational institutions of the country, each represented by one team.

As part of the hackathon, participants were tasked with presenting their innovative ideas and developments aimed at creating original versions of the educational website Etut.developer and ensuring its cybersecurity.

The teams’ IT solutions were evaluated based on criteria such as the efficiency and performance of the website, user-friendliness, and the quality of data protection.

According to the results of the competition, first place was awarded to the teams of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the International University for the Humanities and Development.

Second place was shared by students from the Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

Third place was awarded to student teams from the International Oil and Gas University named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, the Border Institute of Turkmenistan, and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

The hackathon was held with the aim of identifying and supporting young talents, improving the quality of students’ professional training, developing their creative and innovative potential, analytical thinking, and interest in their future professions, as well as fostering teamwork skills, the development of IT products for various fields and tasks, and ensuring their security.
