On the 10th April at 19:00, the National music and drama theatre named after Magtymguly invites classical music lovers to an evening of French music. Renowned pianist Christine Vonlupt will perform for the first time in Ashgabat as part of the «Francophone spring – 2026» festival.
The program «The Inspirations of the Women: French Music of the XIX and XX Centuries» will combine the solo mastery of the guest with the powerful sound of the State symphony orchestra of Turkmenistan. The stage will feature works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Georges Bizet, as well as rare works by outstanding female composers – Cécile Chaminade and Mel Boni.
On the 12th of April at 17:00 and 19:00, the «Watan» cinema and concert centre will host the concert «Music of the universe». The program includes the grandeur of world classics, as well as recognizable melodies from popular TV series. During the interactive portion, guests will not only be able to enjoy the performances of the artists but also sing their favourite songs together in a karaoke format. Honoured artist of Turkmenistan Rovshen Nepesov and conductor Eziz Jumanyyazov will create the magic of sound and a wonderful atmosphere this evening.
