On 25 April, Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, will host the engineering and technology competition “Young Engineer 2026” for school students. The event is organised by the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat Main Department of Education of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation.

The competition will be held across four categories. In the “Smart Production and Service Technologies” category, students in grades 7–12 will present their innovative projects, including team entries of up to two participants.

In the “Robotics” category, students in grades 7–12 will compete individually: participants’ robots will be required to collect balls and place them into containers of varying heights within 2.5 minutes. The top five participants in this category will earn the right to represent the country at the “First Global Challenge 2026” international robotics championship.

In the “Young Coders” competition, students from grade 8 onwards will present projects developed in the Scratch programming environment, including games, animations, or application-based programmes. The “BattleBots” (aka robot combat) category is open to participants of all ages.

Pre-registration is mandatory and will remain open until 15 April 2026. Winners in each category will be awarded valuable prizes from the organisers and general sponsor, as well as certificates of honour from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The competition will take place at the premises of the private enterprise “Ojar Aziýa”, located at 38 G. Kuliyev Street. For further information, interested participants may contact the organisers by phone at +993 61 86 27 66.
