The 6th round of the Turkmenistan football championship among major league clubs started with two matches in Ashgabat and Mary.
The first game to end was in Mary, where «Merv» hosted one of the outsiders, the «Kopetdag» of the capital.
The match turned out to be tough. By the beginning of the second half, the opponents had scored once each on the goal of each other. The visitors responded to the goal of Guvanch Berdimyradov (32nd minute) with a precise strike from Batyr Ashyrov (47th). In another match, in which «Ahal» and «Nebitchi» met at the central arena of the multifunctional stadium «Ashgabat», everything was also decided in injury time. And before that, in the 90th minute, the crossbar saved «Nebitchi» from a goal after a free kick by Yakubmuhammet Govshudov.
Having won with a score of 1:0, «Ahal» moved into second place with 11 points, having one game more than the leading Arkadag» with 15 points and the third-placed «Altyn Asyr» with 10 points. After this match, forward Suleyman Mirzoyev now has 4 goals. With this indicator, he shares 2-4 places in the scorer dispute with Mekan Ashyrov («Altyn Asyr») and Didar Durdyyev («Arkadag»). Serdar Gulyyev from «Shagadam» leads the sniper competition with 5 goals (2 from penalties).
