The 6th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among the clubs of the higher league concluded with two matches held in Ashgabat.

At Nisa Stadium, “Arkadag” FC hosted one of the outsiders of the national league, “Ashgabat,” which had only 1 point after five rounds and occupied 7th place.

The match was played with a clear advantage for the reigning three-time champions of Turkmenistan and ended in a confident 3–0 victory.

The scoring was opened in the 44th minute by Guychmyrat Annagulyyev. In the second half, the lead was extended by Resul Hojayev (63rd minute) and Rakhman Myratberdiyev (69th minute). The match was officiated by a refereeing team led by E. Annamyradov from Balkanabat. This victory allowed “Arkadag” to collect 18 points and remain at the top of the standings with a perfect record.

The closest pursuer, “Altyn Asyr,” also secured a win in this round, defeating Turkmenbahi’s “Shagadam” 2–0 at home in the Buzmeyin etrap.

The first goal came in the 15th minute from Abdyrahman Annamyradov. In the 74th minute, the “communications workers” doubled their lead thanks to an own goal by Toyly Batyrov. The match was officiated by FIFA referee Resul Mammedov from Ashgabat.

After six rounds, the top three teams remain closely matched. “Arkadag” confidently holds first place with 18 points, while a tight battle for second place continues between “Altyn Asyr” (13 points) and “Ahal” (11 points).

In the race for top scorer, Serdar Gulyyev (“Shagadam”) leads with 5 goals (2 from penalties). Mekan Ashyrov (“Altyn Asyr”), Didar Durdyyev (“Arkadag”), and Suleyman Mirzoyev (“Ahal”) have each scored 4 goals (1 from penalties).

The matches of the 7th round, which will conclude the first half of the national championship, will take place on May 10. The fixtures are as follows: “Shagadam” vs “Merv”; “Nebitchi” vs “Altyn Asyr”; “Ashgabat” vs “Ahal”; “Kopetdag” vs “Arkadag”.
