During the meeting, issues were discussed such as expanding opportunities for students, increasing Turkmen student participation in the Japanese MEXT (Monbukagakusho) program, creating a special quota or spots specific to Turkmenistan, developing STEM education, engineering, artificial intelligence, and environmental education, sending teachers through the Japan Foundation and other organizations, establishing Japanese language centers in Ashgabat's higher education institutions, providing them with textbooks and digital resources, and organizing professional development programs for local teachers, introducing Japanese models of technical education (colleges such as KOSEN), and conducting joint research in the fields of smart classroom technologies, robotics, and green technologies.

On May 15, 2026, at a meeting with Shinya Sayu, Head of Global Division SPRIX Inc., the opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in science and education, developing digital educational and assessment services and training programs, introducing the TOFAS test into the education system of Turkmenistan, creating exchange programs, and developing cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) were discussed.
