Turkmen linguistics students are undergoing summer language internships at universities in Korea and Germany

Students from the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady are honing their professional skills through summer language internships at leading universities in Korea and Germany.

From the 29th of June to 6th of July, a group of six top students from the faculty of oriental languages and literature, who demonstrated high results in studying the Korean language, are undergoing an internship in Korea.

The study tour was organised within the framework of the Memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific and educational cooperation between the Turkmen National institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady and Kangwon national university (KNU).

At a partner university in Korea, located in the city of Chuncheon, students of the institute master advanced courses in speech development. The educational program for students provides for the expansion of theoretical knowledge and practical professional skills, as well as familiarisation with the ancient and rich culture of the East, national values, and traditions of the Korean people.

As part of the collaboration of Turkmen language institute with leading foreign universities, 15 of the most active and talented students from the faculty of European languages and literature are undergoing a similar internship in Germany.

This internship is organised on the basis of the Agreement on academic and cultural cooperation between the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady and the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences – Philosophy III of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.

The main goal of the educational and practical program is to develop practical skills of the students in the German language and pedagogical competencies. Intensive speaking practice includes 72 hours of academic classes, during which students are introduced to modern linguistic approaches and best practices in the education system.

The knowledge and practical skills acquired during the internship will contribute to the improvement of the professional training of future foreign language teachers and the development of their communicative culture.

The participation of students of TNIWL named after Azady in international language practice programs is further evidence of consistent of the university and fruitful efforts to expand academic exchange, improve the quality of language education, and strengthen cooperation with leading international educational centres.

The extensive scientific and educational capabilities of Turkmen and foreign partner universities enable effective collaboration in joint research and educational activities, teacher training, the joint development of curricula and electronic teaching aids, and the development of student academic mobility.
