Three students from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan are completing a one-year course of study at the University of Tsukuba (Japan), organized for the period from 1 October 2025 to 31 August 2026.

The study visit is being carried out within the framework of the Memorandum on Academic Exchange and Cooperation between the Turkmen and Japanese universities.

The participants in the program are talented third-year students of the Oguz Han University who have distinguished themselves through their academic achievements: Merdan Allamyradov (Faculty of Cyber-Physical Systems), Selbi Mammetaliyeva, and Shasenem Shaberdiyeva (Faculty of Innovation Economics).

According to the educational program, the students studied in the fields of Humanities, Social and International Studies, and Engineering. Throughout the academic year, with the support of experienced academic mentors from the Japanese university, the students actively participated in the educational and social life of the university. They attended lectures in their specialized disciplines, studied the Japanese language, took part in scientific events, and participated in cultural programs organized by the university centers CASA and the Omochi Language Club.

Through close interaction with Japanese and international students, the Oguz Han University students significantly expanded their intercultural communication skills, improved their language proficiency, and gained valuable experience of studying in an international academic environment.

In addition, during the internship, the students contributed to promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people. Representing the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, they delivered engaging and informative presentations devoted to the history, culture, and national heritage of our state. The students also presented traditional Turkmen souvenirs to Japanese lecturers, fellow students, and friends from different countries.

During their studies at the University of Tsukuba, the students cooperated with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, taking an active part in the preparation and organization of official events.

The successful and productive participation of Turkmen students in the academic exchange program represents a significant contribution to their academic and professional development, the strengthening of cooperation between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the University of Tsukuba, as well as the further development of educational and cultural relations between the two friendly countries.
