Currently, in accordance with the assignments of the President of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the State Organizing Committee and Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyyev together with members of the Committee is on a working visit to the city of Cronenberg in the Kingdom of the Netherlands to ensure high-level preparations for the international events.

Here, relevant activities are underway to ensure the participation of Ahalteke horses – a unique national treasure gifted to humanity by our people – in prestigious world-class competitions, as well as to organize events within them.

In this regard, our country attaches great importance to addressing relevant issues. Particular attention is being paid to issues related to the choice of a locality for the relevant event and its design in a national style. In preparation for the upcoming events, members of the representative delegation of Turkmenistan are organizing meetings with local horse breeders and international experts conducting scientific research in this area.

This is further evidence of the comprehensive efforts being made to ensure the organized performance of the Turkmen teams participating in the World Equestrian Championships and the Ahalteke Beauty Contest.

As part of the meetings held here, a presentation of the venue designated for international events was also held. In this regard, a lively exchange of opinions took place regarding the distinctive characteristics of the venues for the equestrian competitions and beauty pageant, as well as their organizational procedures. As noted, design elements for international competitions will be installed at the venue in accordance with modern standards, and the locations of relevant signage will be determined.

Local experts and horse breeders emphasized the importance of a mutually beneficial exchange of experience, focusing on the issues of widespread familiarization with the national traditions of Turkmen horse breeding and their effective implementation by specialists from European countries. This is of great importance for accumulating information related to the development of the industry in various countries, particularly regarding the methods of raising and training Ahalteke horses, and ensuring their accessibility to the global equestrian community.

The inclusion of the art of Ahalteke horse breeding and horse decoration traditions on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as one of the outstanding art forms of the Turkmen people has enhanced the prestige of these “heavenly” horses, considered to be a national and world cultural treasure. This also confirmed the international recognition of the exemplary principles of Russian horse breeding, shaped by our wise ancestors over the centuries.

These meetings place particular emphasis on the history of the renowned Ahalteke horses and their unique characteristics, and also discuss issues related to the competition procedures. This clearly demonstrates a responsible and comprehensive approach to organizing the planned events, which are crucial for the further popularization of these “paradise” horses worldwide, in accordance with modern requirements and high international standards.
