The art of carpet weaving, which our people have perfected over the centuries, is being enriched with historically significant achievements and rich content in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.

In this regard, the creative work of the carpet weavers of the Gyzylarbat artistic carpet-weaving enterprise, known as one of the leading production structures in the western region, deserves special attention. The Balkan carpet weavers, for whom the national craft and art of carpet weaving have become faithful companions, achieve exemplary production results year after year.

The experienced craftswomen-carpet weavers of the artistic carpet-weaving enterprise, which is part of the State Association “Türkmenhaly”, are achieving high results in improving the quality and efficiency of carpet production. The elegant carpets and carpet products woven by the master carpet weavers are in great demand in both domestic and foreign markets. Following the results of the first seven months of the current year, more than 1,677 square meters of carpets and carpet products of various sizes were woven at the enterprise, and the corresponding plan was successfully fulfilled. Alongside this, the financial volume of the products manufactured during the reporting period was also high.

At present, the Gyzylarbat carpet weavers are making every effort to restore ancient patterns, give carpets modern shades, and create completely new ornaments and gyols.

“Currently, our carpet enterprise is preparing a carpet featuring a ‘gushly gyol’ as a gift for the sacred holiday of our country’s independence,” says Patma Amanjayeva, head of the production workshop of the artistic carpet-weaving enterprise and an Honored Carpet Weaver of Turkmenistan. The background of the giant carpet is white; its width is 23 meters, while its length is 12 meters, with a total area of 276 square meters. A total of 84 carpet weavers are working on the creation of this giant carpet.

According to preliminary calculations, work on the carpet will be completed by the end of August. This will be a worthy gift from the labor collective for the 35th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan.
