In anticipation of the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of sacred independence of the country, white marble Ashgabat traditionally hosted delegates from all velayats and the city of Arkadag. A rich cultural program has been prepared for participants of the national forum, reflecting the creative achievements and rich spiritual heritage of independent, neutral Turkmenistan.
Acquaintance with historical milestones and modern achievements of the country began with leading cultural centres of the capital.
The State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan presented the exhibition «Watanymyzyň Garaşsyzlygy – ösüşleriň kepili», which centres on photographs and a chronicle of key achievements over 35 years of independence. Visits to the «Sanctity of the Motherland» museum and the State library allowed the guests to gain a deeper appreciation of the continuity between generations and the scale of constructive change.
A gala concert by masters of the arts took place at the Mukams Palace, setting a festive tone for the upcoming forum.
The stages of the capital welcomed the delegates with a variety of theatrical performances, literary-musical programs, and concerts. These cultural events took place at the Main academic drama theatre named after Great Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy, National Drama Theatre named after Alp Arslan, and National music and drama theatre named after Magtymguly. Film screenings at cinema and concert centres of the capital, showcasing the achievements of domestic cinema, further enriched the range of experiences.
The program at the State Circus of Turkmenistan was a particular delight for the forum participants. A thunderous ovation interrupted the performance of the well-known National equestrian games group «Galkynyş». Winners of prestigious international awards, including the «Golden clown» grand prize at the 47th International festival of circus arts in Monte-Carlo in 2025, as well as participants in the First world equestrian championships in Cronenberg, the Netherlands, demonstrated their masterful trick riding skills on legendary Ahal-Teke horses.
This year, held under the motto «Independent, neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», will write another bright chapter in the annals of the large-scale transformations taking place in our country. Delegates note that festive decorations of Ashgabat, resplendent with new architectural ensembles and thematic installations, fill their hearts with deep pride for their sovereign homeland. Attending the cultural events proved to be a truly inspiring and motivating experience, filling participants with a bright, creative energy in anticipation of the national forum.
