Today, a festive concert featuring cultural figures and masters of the arts took place at the capital’s Congress Center, attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to mark the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
The modern history of our powerful state, its successes, achievements, and rapid, steed-like pace of development, dates back to the moment independence was gained and recognized by the global community. Over these years, tremendous work has been accomplished and universally acclaimed, and in every sphere, progress equivalent to centuries of advancement has been achieved. During this period of sovereign development, independent Turkmenistan has earned high prestige on the international stage, becoming an acknowledged center of peace, cooperation, friendship, and fraternity.

Today, in the era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the large-scale initiatives launched by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag in the state and public life of our country are being successfully and consistently implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. State independence has enabled the revival of spiritual and material values and the global promotion of the glorious principles of peace, friendship, and humanism—principles rooted in the depths of history and passed down from generation to generation. Over the past 35 years, relying on the solidarity, unity, and creative initiatives of the people, as well as the country’s immense potential, comprehensive and well-conceived programs aimed at the socio-economic development of the sovereign Homeland and the improvement of the population’s well-being have been successfully realized. Furthermore, a national economic model has been established that delivers outstanding results.
The convening Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of the general public, on the eve of the glorious 35th anniversary of sacred independence, and the adoption of significant decisions there for the further development of the Fatherland, served as yet another expression of our people’s unity around the Head of State. He proclaimed, “Through our unity, we shall reach every milestone!” in the name of building a bright present and future.
...The concert held at the Congress Center was also attended by Government members, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of ministries, sectoral agencies, the scientific and creative intelligentsia, higher education institutions, the media, and all the country’s velayats, as well as numerous foreign guests who had arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the festive celebrations.
Those gathered greeted the head of state with great enthusiasm and thunderous applause. Having greeted everyone, the President of Turkmenistan walked to the designated area.
The concert program opened with patriotic songs dedicated to the great achievements of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, glorifying the achievements of our country over the years of independence. The songs and melodies that were performed became a wonderful ode to the current achievements of the Motherland.
Wonderful performances by musicians, popular performers of folk and pop songs, as well as children’s creative groups clearly reflected the high milestones passed by our country during the Revival era of the new epoch of the powerful state. The leitmotif of the entire concert program was works glorifying the achievements of the modern era, inscribing glorious pages in the modern history of the Fatherland and inextricably linked with the names of Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan. It is thanks to the unity of the people, their creative potential, as well as the successful implementation of the far-sighted undertakings of Hero-Arkadag under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar that independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan has turned into a dynamically and harmoniously developing state.
In the capital, as well as in Arkadag city, the centers of velayats and etraps, in every corner of our sunny Fatherland, the socio-cultural level of the people is steadily increasing. The number of residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, health and cultural centers, sports centers, administrative and office buildings, industrial and road transport infrastructure facilities that meet modern requirements is growing. The radically changing appearance of the country’s cities and villages clearly demonstrates the enormous potential and power of our state. During the concert, these successes achieved by the Motherland over the years of independence were sung in fiery songs and reflected in videos.
The millennia-old history of our people is inextricably linked with the swift Ahalteke horses. In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the Ahalteke horse became a magnificent symbol of the rapid advancement of the Fatherland to new heights of creation and progress and continuity of the national heritage. A clear indication of this is that a beautiful image of a horse is placed in the center of the State Emblem of Turkmenistan.
It is also deeply symbolic that this year, marked by the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland, was declared as “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”, which afforded a wonderful opportunity to widely present to the world the high milestones and achievements of the independent Motherland through our national heritage. Numerous events dedicated to the motto of the year are held in the country and abroad.
The song “Bedew”, performed during the concert, based on the words of Hero-Arkadag, became a wonderful ode to the rapid development of the Motherland and its achievements over the years of independence.
This song, celebrating the “heavenly” horses, harmoniously complemented a video, displaying events from the year themed “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Steeds” – events that have been inscribed in golden letters in the modern history of the Motherland. The performance left an indelible impression on the audience.
The festive concert reflected the distinctive character of contemporary Turkmen art, the diversity of its genres, and the continuity of its traditions. The vocal and musical pieces, remarkable and profound in content, deeply impressed the audience, who responded with thunderous applause.
The concert program featured a significant number of love songs performed by local pop artists, alongside outstanding musical works from nations around the world. A highlight of the celebration was the spirited Kushtdepdi dance, which sparked great enthusiasm among all present.
The concert concluded with a performance of the song “Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym Türkmenistan!” by all the participants. This remarkable composition by Hero-Arkadag has become a kind of anthem, inspiring our people toward rapid development and the achievement of ambitious goals. The song also embodies our people’s pride in the Motherland’s current era of happiness, as the country, under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, confidently advances toward a bright future.
Afterwards, those gathered warmly congratulated Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag on the 35th anniversary of sacred independence, wishing them sound health, long life, and success in their extensive work for the benefit of the state and society.
After expressing his gratitude for the congratulations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated those present on the momentous holiday, the country’s Independence Day, and, wishing everyone success, departed the venue.
