The Turkmenistan Investment Forum, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the country, concluded its work in Ashgabat. The forum served as a representative platform bringing together heads of government agencies, leading international experts, representatives of international financial institutions, and transnational corporations.
One of the significant events of the forum’s program was a speech by Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, dedicated to the prospects and key areas of bilateral and regional economic cooperation.
In his speech, the head of Kyrgyzstan’s investment agency emphasized the deep historical and cultural ties that unite the two countries.

“Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are united by fraternal relations, centuries-old ties, the closeness of our traditions, and a common aspiration for peace and development. We are part of a single Central Asian region, and therefore our success and well-being are inextricably linked,” emphasized R. Sabirov.
The speaker noted that, for Bishkek, of strategic importance is giving practical substance to bilateral relations through specific economic and investment projects. Assessing the potential of the two countries, the head of the agency identified priority sectors for joint efforts and the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives.
In the energy sector, these include cooperation in the field of “green” energy, as well as supplies of petroleum products and natural gas; in transport, the development of sustainable transport and logistics corridors; in the industrial and technological sector, textile production and telecommunications; and in tourism, the joint development of infrastructure and new routes.
R. Sabirov stated that the Kyrgyz Republic pursues an open and multi-vector economic policy, creating favorable conditions for long-term international capital and firmly guaranteeing the protection of investors’ rights and interests.
In this context, the head of the agency assured his Turkmen partners of the National Agency’s full readiness for practical cooperation. The agency is prepared to provide comprehensive support and assistance to investors at all stages—from developing an idea to the full launch and subsequent development of projects.
“I am confident that pooling our capabilities will bring practical benefits to the fraternal peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan and contribute to the sustainable development of the entire Central Asian region,” stated R. Sabirov.
