More than 480 Turkmen schoolchildren from all corners of the country took part in the qualifying test for the sixth season of the intellectual project “Young Messengers of Peace,” organized by the School of Young Diplomats at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The preliminary selection for the project brought together students in grades 10, 11, and 12 from secondary schools across the country. The test consisted of 100 written questions covering school subjects such as the history of Turkmenistan, world history, the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, world culture, English, and Russian. In addition, questions designed to assess students’ logical thinking and analytical abilities included logic and IQ tasks.

Based on the results of the qualifying test, the participants for the new season will be selected. A total of 64 schoolchildren will earn the right to participate. The test results will be announced on the website of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where all up-to-date information about the competition will also be published.

The sixth season of the “Young Messengers of Peace” competition will be held under the motto “The Foreign Policy of Independent Neutral Turkmenistan: Cooperation for Peace and the Development of Humanity.”

This major career-orientation project, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and its School of Young Diplomats, is now being held for the sixth consecutive academic year and is becoming increasingly popular among the country’s senior secondary school students. The intellectual competition aims to identify and engage the most talented and knowledgeable young people who have a keen interest in their country’s history, the development and establishment of Turkmen diplomatic school, as well as Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy strategies and its diplomatic relations with countries around the world.

The effectiveness of this project is demonstrated by the fact that dozens of gifted young people who excelled in the competition are currently pursuing higher education at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
