On October 30, 2026, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the 13th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
In the morning, the President of Turkmenistan arrived at the Presidential Palace Complex in Türkiye. There, the distinguished Turkmen guest was warmly welcomed by the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. A joint photo session was also held there.
Following the official photo session for the heads of state participating in the meeting, the 13th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States began.
After warmly welcoming the participants, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed gratitude to all for accepting the invitation and visiting Türkiye, emphasizing that this meeting would give impetus to the further development of cooperation.
The President of Türkiye noted Turkmenistan’s significant contribution, under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the activities of the Organization of Turkic States.
The floor was then given to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In his remarks, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the invitation to participate in the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as for the warm hospitality extended to the Turkmen delegation.
Taking this opportunity, the head of Turkmenistan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the heads of state from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag.
“It is symbolic that this meeting coincides with a national holiday, the Republic Day”, emphasized President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, warmly congratulating President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the brotherly Turkish people on this significant date, and wishing the Republic of Türkiye continued prosperity, well-being, and new successes.
It was noted that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to strengthening the bonds of friendship with the countries of the Turkic world. In this context, the Organization of Turkic States is viewed as an important body whose purpose is to strengthen mutual trust, develop fruitful relations, and expand practical cooperation among brotherly countries. The effectiveness of the Organization’s activities is primarily linked to the implementation of concrete initiatives and mutually beneficial projects aimed at the well-being of our peoples.
After also thanking Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, for his contribution to the Organization’s fruitful work and the successful organization of the current Summit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the new Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States success in his important duty, as well as good health, happiness, and long life to the summit participants and well-being, prosperity, and new successes to the brotherly peoples

Summit participants discussed ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation, develop the digital economy, modernize trade and customs procedures, develop the capacity of transport and logistics corridors, as well as strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The leaders of the OTS member states also exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda that are of mutual interest.
