The coming 2012-2013 academic years was marked with real parade of construction premières: nearly thirty new super-modern institutions became a part of the national education system.
In the current year, the number of the first-year students increased by two and a half thousand persons. So, it was first realized intake of students to new higher educational establishments – Turkmen State Architectural Institute and Turkmen State Institute of oil and gas, as well as five secondary professional educational institutions, which were opened in the capital and administrative center of Lebap province.
This list includes Agro-industrial secondary professional school of the Turkmen Agricultural University, Mechanic-technological secondary professional school of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, Secondary professional school of railway transport of the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, Secondary professional school of tourism of the State Committee for tourism of Turkmenistan and Technical secondary professional school of “Turkmenhimiya” State Concern.
All aforementioned professional schools will train the staff of average level essential for various sectors of national economy totally in 45 specialties.
Twenty trends of specialization also replenished the educational schedules of a series of higher educational establishments, including Turkmen State Institute of economy and management, two higher agrarian schools of the country – Agricultural University (Ashgabat) and Institute (Dashoguz), National Institute of sports and tourism of Turkmenistan, State Medical University of Turkmenistan, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, and Turkmen State Institute of Finances.
Traditionally within the framework of relevant interstate agreements, in new academic year, over two thousand Turkmen boys and girls started their study in the higher and secondary educational establishments of the near and far abroad, including in Byelorussia, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, China, and Malaysia.
