2011 autumn racing season closed

The tenth, final day of the autumn racing season took place at the equestrian sports complexes throughout the country.

Ahalteke horses competed in eleven rounds which were held at the International Equestrian Sports Complex. The acute competitions took place in the 2,800 metre races for the Challenge Cup of the Turkmen Atlary State Association. Bereket ranked the first in the competition with the result of 3 min 49.5 sec.

The most spectacular event of the final day was the races for the prizes established in honour of renowned Ahalteke horses, the founders of the 17 lines of the Turkmen breed.

The jockeys riding elite four-year-old Ahalteke horses demonstrated their mastership in the 3,200 metre races. Gyokhan ranked the first (4 min 15.2 sec) and won the two prizes, Hoshlasyk and the prize established in honour of a horse breeder Kakaly Sayat.

The 2011 autumn horse racing season at the International Equestrian Sports Complex was concluded with the 3,000 metre races for the Yapylysh Prize. Gutlysakar was the best among three-year-old horses (4 min 07.1 sec).
