The 4th International Computer Project Olympiad held at the International Turkmen-Turkish University in Ashgabat completed.
Within the framework of the official ceremony of closing the Olympiad 94 sets of various medals, including 15 gold and 36 silver medals were awarded to the best programmers from different countries of the world. The authors of the best projects in five nominations raised on the podium. Among the works are software programmes, web-sites on various themes as well as short films made with the help of the most advanced multimedia systems.
Turkmen schoolchildren won almost a quarter of all medals. The representatives of the Turkmen capital and different regions of our country presented 22 computer projects and received three gold, six silver and thirteen bronze medals.
The envoys of various countries of the world were delighted with their accommodation in a recreation centre in Geokdere where they spent their leisure time after the intellectual competitions, the interesting cultural programme that included excursions to the Turkmen museums and tours to the landmarks of the Turkmen capital.
