Solemn opening of a regular – VII International Book Fair “Book – the path of cooperation and progress” was held in the capital’s Exhibition Center “Sergi koshgi”.


Nearly 150 representatives of printing industry, business and literary circles from 26 world countries came to the Turkmen capital for participation in the current meeting. Among its participants – the officials, leading specialists-designers, experts and managers, representing the interests of nearly 100 publishing houses and printing enterprises, equipment producing companies, trade firms and higher educational establishments from the USA, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Turkey, Korea, Poland, Iran, UAE, Romania, countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and others.



The stands of exhibition participants display the publishing novelties and high-technology standards of the printing art as well as their electronic versions, which also include teaching and informative content.


The exhibition of old manuscripts became one of the major centers of gravity in the Ashgabat exposition.

On the same day, it was held scientific conference entitled “Book – the path of cooperation and progress”.
