Turkmen tennis players A.Ernepesov and G.Pochay reached the semifinal of the Ashgabat International Junior Tournament dedicated to the 21st anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

Our sportsmen achieved this success in doubles defeating an international duet T. Igamberdiev (Russia) and I. Mamedkuliev (Turkmenistan) – 6:2, 6:2 in the quarterfinal. In the first round our tennis players defeated sportsmen from Uzbekistan V. Bekirov and T. Tolobjanov – 6:3, 6:1.

In the semifinal the best Turkmen tennis players will play versus an international duet – D. Karimov (Uzbekistan) and E. Sertkaya (Turkey).

Turkmen tennis players I. Mamedkuliev and D. Bayramova reached the quarterfinal in single events.

The winners of the tournament will be announced on September 29.
