Turkmen sportsmen take part in the Belt Wrestling World Championship among men in the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana. On the first day our wrestlers won one gold and three bronze medals in the free-style events.
Our compatriot from Bereket Etrap, Balkan Velayat Yagshimurat Annamuradov won the gold medal in the under 62-kg weight category.
Kerim Redjepov won the bronze medal in the under 90-kg weight category, Murat Djumaev took the third place in the over 100-kg weight category, and Annamurat Charyev won the bronze medal.
The Belt Wresting World Championship will continue with the classic events starting on September 29. Eight Turkmen wrestlers will take part in the competitions.
