These days, delegation at the head of the first deputy chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS executive secretary Vladimir Garkun is on a visit to the Turkmen capital. Within the framework of their stay in Ashgabat, the guests were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Main topic of discussion was the preparation for organization of upcoming Summit of the heads of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Ashgabat in November of the current year, particularly its program as well as a series of organizational issues. Holding of this significant meeting is planned within the framework of presidency of Turkmenistan in CIS in 2012.
Within the framework of view exchange, the meeting participants declared for further constructive interaction in the framework of the Commonwealth on the principles of equality, economic reasonability and respect, adherence to traditional ties of friendship and cooperation, having expressed confidence that upcoming Summit in the capital of the Turkmen state will contribute to it considerably.
