The meeting with the delegation of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) led by Director of the IOM Vienna Regional Office for South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Ms. Renate Held took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The members of the IOM delegation got acquainted with the practical steps taken by Turkmenistan within the framework of the international agreements and treaties as well as the Law of Turkmenistan “On migration” that in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and generally recognized standards of the international law regulates the procedures of entry into the country, staying in the country and departure from the territory of the country for the citizens of Turkmenistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons.
