A roundtable “Preventive diplomacy as an instrument for achieving results in the process of ensuring security and stability in the world” took place in the conference hall of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Ashgabat. Representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, international organisations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of International Relations, and mass media took part in the meeting.

The roundtable participants discussed the ways of the international counteraction to the global challenges and threats of the modern time as well as the priority of the preventive diplomacy as the most efficient instrument of early prevention of conflicts and peaceful settlement of disputes and crisis situations in various regions of the world.
