1,050 students have started studying in one of the oldest high educational facility of the country – Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogic Institute in Turkmenabat. Altogether, more than 3,300 future teachers study in in the institute in 15 directions of professional training.

Pedagogic institute has been opened in the city on Amudarya River in 1950. For all these years, 50 thousand specialists of educational sphere have been trained by the institute. Foreign citizens received an opportunity to study in in the institutes in this century. For example, 22 graduates from Afghanistan, China and Tajikistan have received higher educational diplomas in 2019.

Methodological and technological innovations are actively implemented to the process of education and formation of professional culture in the context of innovative vector of the country’s development, due to which the institute has all conditions for training of professional teachers with wide world outlook and creative approach to work.

Today, students master all components of professional competency under mentorship of experienced team on 5 faculties and 17 departments. The institute has information and computer centre; classrooms and laboratories are provided with multimedia and office equipment; library with comprehensive book fund and spacious reading room is at disposal of students.
