A delegation led by UN Secretary General Special Envoy for Afghanistan Jan Kubish was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Exchanging their views on a wide spectrum of issues representing keen interest for the both parties, the meeting participants discussed the further steps of efficient cooperation on enhancing security and assisting to revival and sustainable development of Afghanistan.

Noting that important condition for stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan is restoration of its social and economic infrastructure, the UN Secretary General Special Envoy for Afghanistan highly appreciated the important projects initiated by Turkmenistan in the power and transport spheres, including the project on construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.
