In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held a "round table" of the Advisory Council on the establishment of the Regional Centre in Ashgabat on technologies related to climate change in Central Asia.

To participate in the meeting were invited Deputy Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Mr. Chao Lin and international consultant to develop a technical proposal to create a regional center in Ashgabat on climate change, Mr. Diego de Velasco.

The Turkmen side the meeting was attended by representatives of the various ministries of the country – foreign affairs, environment, finance, economics and development, agriculture, water, oil and gas and mineral resources, and the Mejlis and the Academy of Sciences.

The unanimous opinion of the participants the positive experience of Turkmenistan committed to active participation in solving the pressing problems of humanity, today should be used in international practice, for it is a worthy role model example of a country whose efforts are aimed at ensuring global peace, security and global sustainable development.

The work of the "round table" will continue on November 13.
