Today, Ministerial Summit of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) was held in the capital of Great Britain. On the instruction of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the representatives of the State Committee for tourism of our country also took part in its work.
In the course of the meetings, it was outlined priority trends of cooperation, including in the field of advancement of tourism product of Turkmenistan in Great Britain and other countries, experience exchange in training of staff for tourism industry, improvement of service quality in tourism and co-operating sectors. It was reached an agreement on elaboration of the matter on organization of joint theme events, particularly business forums, educational conferences, exhibitions and presentations with a view of expansion of cooperation in the sphere of tourism.
It is worth mentioning that the current summit of UNWTO is held from November 5 to 8 within the framework of one of the largest international tourist exhibitions – “World Travel Market”, being annually organized in London and hosting the participants from nearly 200 world countries.
