The international oil and gas forum, the programme of which included the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2012 International Exhibition and the International Scientific Conference on the Key Vectors for Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan and the Prospects of International Cooperation opened in the Turkmen capital. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The economic forum in Ashgabat brought together about 100 leading oil and gas and service companies from more than 20 countries all over the world. Among them are Russia, China, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Malaysia, the UEA, Austria, Finland, Panama, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Afghanistan and the Marshall Islands.
Unprecedented number of foreign participants took place in the 17th International Scientific Conference on the Key Vectors for Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan and the Prospects of International Cooperation.
Over 250 world-known foreign oil and gas and service companies, major international organisations, government institutions, ministries and departments, manufacturer plants representing 47 counties sent over 700 their delegates to take part in the conference. 48 foreign specialized journals, news agencies, publishing houses, internet portals provided a significant information support.
