Recently, some mass media, in particular Reuters and Mehr News Agencies referring to Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran Rostam Ghasemi have reported that ‘Turkmenistan stopped supplying gas to Iran because of the price disputes’.
In this regard, the Turkmengas State Concern noted that Turkmenistan had supplied natural gas to Iran in line with the existing long-term agreements.
Indeed, several days ago, the natural gas supply via the Artyk-Lyuftabad gas pipeline was suspended at the request of Iran against the need for repair works on the territory of Iran. Upon completion of the works, the gas supply was resumed.
There are no any disagreements under the contract conditions.
