The Day of German Economy held in our country for the second time took place at the Mizan Business Centre in Ashgabat. A delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany had arrived in the Turkmen capital specially to participate in the forum. The organizers of the economic forum were the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Germany’s Economy Office for Central Asia.

After the plenary meeting was concluded, the forum continued its work in the four sessions focusing on key aspects of cooperation. In a wide range of issues under discussion emphasis was placed on Turkmenistan’s investment potential at the stage of economic diversification, collaboration in the financial and banking sector, energy sector and advanced technologies as well as delivery of high-powered German equipment to Turkmenistan. The major areas of discussion included the educational programmes.

An exhibition showcasing the potential of major international companies from Germany, their latest projects and innovations was arranged at the Mizan Business Centre in the framework of the programme of the Day of German Industry.

A number of meetings for participants of the Day of German Economy were organized in the framework of this large-scale economic forum. The business delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany had held the meeting at the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Food Industry Association of Turkmenistan.
