The system of electronic testing of students has become a traditional form for testing the knowledgeof future professionalsof theTurkmen State Institute ofTransport and Communications.Last year this method was tested for the first time within the framework of the students’ intellectual contest in physics and mathematics held in electronic format.

The first successful experimentencouragedteachersto continuethe pilot testing. This time students were tested in sixcore disciplines, including the theoryof telecommunications, electrical engineering, electronics and other items.‘The smartmachine’objectively and impartiallyassessed the levelofknowledgeof future professionals and determinednotonly the correctnessof their answers but also pointedoutthestudents’mistakes.Electronic testingcomplements theexaminationsession.

The electronic testingprogrammewas designedat the Institute ofTransport and Communications.A multimediainternal telecommunicationsinfrastructure was also designed and implemented there. This infrastructureincludestheelectronic library,electronic document management systems and video conferencing.This networkwas createdby teachers andstudents ofthe Communications Departmentstartingfrom cabling andcompeting withsoftware. It has proved its efficiencyand issuccessfully usedin thehigh school.

The electronic testing system in theuniversityis a competitive system. Before testing, the students of different specializations as well as best senior students were divided into university teams to compete for the title "The Best Student of the Faculty”.
