Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Hryshchenko, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting the sides exchanged their views on the prospects of bilateral relations developing successfully in all key areas given the existing potential and priorities of the socio-economic development of the two friendly countries.
The members of the Ukrainian delegation noted with satisfaction that in recent years the Turkmen-Ukrainian dialogue had reached a qualitatively new level satisfying the interests of the two states.
The representatives of the foreign-policy departments of the two friendly countries expressed their intention to intensify cooperation enhancing the efficient Turkmen-Ukrainian cooperation in all major areas, in particular in the trading, economic, fuel and energy, transport and communication sectors where the consolidation of efforts seems to be the most promising.
