Aspects of expansion of the Turkmen-Japanese cooperation were discussed in the course of the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Japanese delegation at the head of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Turkmenistan Harada Tikahito.
The guests noted that Japan welcomes with satisfaction the impressive successes reached by Turkmenistan within the last years on the path of rapid socio-economic progress as well as supports constructive peacemaking initiatives of the country.
As it was noted, the current year in the history of the Turkmen-Japanese relations is significant for Turkmenistan and Japan for the 20th anniversary since establishment of diplomatic relations and 10th anniversary since creation of joint committee for economic cooperation. In opinion of the meeting participants, stirring up of activity of this committee will be impetus for diversification of partnership, including in fuel-energy, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres, transport, innovative technologies, medicine, financial-banking sphere and others.
The guests confirmed the striving of the Japanese companies to use their available potential for consolidation of their positions on prospective Turkmen market. As it is expected, within the framework of the visit of delegation from friendly country, the meeting will be also held in the Government of Turkmenistan.
