The Week of French Animated Cinematography started at the Ashgabat Cinema. The cultural event is organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and French Cultural Centre at the Embassy of France in Turkmenistan.

The films “Kerity, the House of Fairy Tales” of director Dominique Monféry, “Illusionist” directed by Sylvain Chomet that won the first César Award for Best Animated Feature, “Black Mor’s Island” and “Picture” directed by Jean-François Laguionie will be demonstrated to Turkmen audience during the week.

Demonstration of cartoons on the eve of the New Year will enrich the large-scale festive programme of events prepared for children including morning performances, New Year’s shows, theatrical performances, fancy-dress carnivals, film festivals and musical concerts.
