Foreign Economic Bank was recognized as the best by the experts of “The Banker”

In the rating of world-known financial magazine “The Banker”, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan was awarded with the title “The best bank of 2012 in Turkmenistan”. Rating of “The Banker” is one of most prestigious and significant in the world financial circles. The Foreign Economic Bank receives this award for the tenth time.

In its December and January issues, “The Banker” published the articles “the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan – the leader in financial market of the country” and “Efficient management of economy transformation in Turkmenistan”.


Special January issue of the magazine “The Banker” was addressed to the participants of the World Economic Forum to be held in Davos (Switzerland) on January 23-27, 2013. Delegates of the Forum, including key political leaders, leading officials of business, outstanding scientists and analysts, large investors and representatives of world press, will get an opportunity to familiarize with review article devoted to the diversification processes of Turkmenistan’s economy and investment policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Activity and strategy of development of the Bank was covered in December issue of edition devoted to the winners of bank rating of 2012 – “The Banker Awards 2012”.

Monthly specialized magazine “The Banker” of the publishing house “Financial Times”, which is published in London since 1926, covers great number of international events, including technological discoveries and innovations, publishes reports on countries, bank ratings and commentaries of experts, market reviews and appraisals of the regional industrial development. Annually, the magazine marks the best financial institutions all over the world. Selection process is based on various criteria such as growth of assets and income, development and introduction of up-to-date technical infrastructure and many others.
