Discussion of the draft Action Plan "Regional Infrastructure" is prepared by the Turkmen side as part of the confidence-building measures to help Afghanistan was on the agenda of the working meeting, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) the negotiators are the national coordinators and representatives from 15 countries - the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkish Republic, the Italian Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America and our country, as well as the authoritative international organizations - the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (UNSPECA), the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation \ Asian Development Bank ( CAREC \ ADB). At the meeting were representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as national and international media.

As it is well known the draft Action Plan "Regional infrastructure" as part of the confidence-building measures to help Afghanistan, adopted after the Kabul Conference on 14 June 2012, was prepared by the Turkmen side in September last year.

In the modern period the settlement of the Afghan situation becomes more positive trend, and this meeting in Ashgabat is the next important step in this direction and is considered a landmark event in the context of the further consolidation of joint efforts for stability in Afghanistan and the Central Asian region as a whole, making new ways and methods of partnership, the general interest.

According to the speakers the restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan is key to the whole system of security and sustainable development, not only in Central Asia, but also in a wider scale. They stressed the special role has powerful economic and resource potential of Turkmenistan, implementing the strategy of positive international cooperation.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on important aspects of collaboration that focus on the process of regular political consultations between all parties inter-Afghan dialogue, the search for mutually agreed solutions on various regional issues.
