The solemn ceremony of laying a foundation of a complex of new buildings of Aman Kekilov teachers' training college took place on the Georogly Street in the western part of the Turkmen capital.
Since early morning the festive atmosphere reigned there. The representatives of Ashgabat Khyakimlik, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the elders, local citizens, students and journalists attended the ceremony of laying foundation of the future college. The heads and teachers of higher and secondary educational institutions, including Aman Kekilov teachers' training college were invited to take part in the ceremony.
The students of the teachers' training college prepared a bright concert programme of colorful song and dance compositions.
The Total Turkish Construction Company will design and build the new complex at the request of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. According to the schedule, the new college will open its doors in January, 2015.
The new college designed for 1,000 students will be built in line with modern town-planning requirements, where architectural innovations will harmoniously combine with the elements of traditional design. The new complex will include administrative and educational buildings supplied with the most advanced multimedia equipment, two hostels designed for 500 places, a canteen for 400 students, outdoor and indoor football, basketball and volleyball grounds. The students will use their own electronic library, which server will be located at the bases of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
According to the project, the white-marble four- and six-storey buildings of the college will occupy the 52,000-square meter territory planted with trees and shrubs.
