A student of the National Institute for Tourism and Sports of Turkmenistan Hojot Hojotov won the bronze medal of the U17 International Boxing Tournament which was held in Aktobe (Kazakhstan). The tournament brought together the athletes from eight countries, including Belarus, Iraq, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Russia and Ukraine. The 17-year-old Candidate for Master of Sports from Ashgabat gained this achievement in the under 52-kg category.

This is the first success Hojot has ever achieved in the international sports arena. He was prepared for the tournament by his tutors, Honored Coaches of Turkmenistan A. Sahatov and a world-class referee I. Meretniyazov. Hojot is going to make his debut in the Adult Boxing Cup which will take place in Dashoguz this year. This competition will be a good test before the 2012 Asian Youth Championship.
