Meeting with director of the Center for basic sciences of the University of Michigan (the United States of America), Professor of teaching of natural sciences and training technologies of the education faculty of this university Dr. Nancy Butler Songer was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
In the course of the conversation, it was discussed the possibilities and prospects of development of cooperation between higher educational establishments of two countries. As it was noted, important trend in the context of further improvement of the national education system became the practice of wide experience exchange in this sphere. Most of educational institutions of Turkmenistan established direct contacts with the leading foreign scientific and educational centers. Annually, on the basis of intergovernmental and intersectoral agreements in the field of education, thousands of Turkmen boys and girls leave for study at prestigious educational establishments of various world countries, including the USA.
Seminars, trainings, course of lectures and other forms of joint activity of the national specialists in the field of education and a series of world states became traditional mechanism of establishment of effective humanitarian ties.
Within the framework of the visit to our country of the director of the Center for basic sciences of the University of Michigan Dr. Nancy Butler Songer, it is planned to organize several seminars and presentations at the higher educational institutions and schools.
